Following an intense training camp in Mexico City for the last few days, T&T’s women’s team striker Kennya Cordner says she remains confident that this country can pull off the necessary results over Ecuador.

T&T faces Ecuador in Quito on Saturday in the first of two playoff matches with the second one scheduled for the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, on December 2.

“We’ve worked really hard and prepared well. I believe we are in with a great chance. The game in Ecuador will not be easy for us but we are a determined bunch,” said Cordner.

“We’ve had a good training camp in Mexico. The coach and his staff have been doing what they can to ensure we are ready for this challenge. I know the players are all anxious but also very focused on the opponent and getting a good result on Saturday.”

The T&T team arrived in Ecuador yesterday for the Saturday’s match.
