Randy Ramcharan netted the lone goal as Harlem Strikers edged Enterprise Youths 1-0 to for their sixth straight victory in the CRILLE Central Football Association Premier Division on Saturday night.
Ramcharan got the goal in the 67th minute in the feature match of a double-header at the Frederick Settlement Ground, Caroni to push Strikers to maximum 18 points, seven clear of Enterprise Youths, which remained second.
The first match at Caroni between Las Lomas United and Cunupia FC was called off before normal time due to an on-field incident with the latter ahead 2-0.
Cap Off Youths and Edinburgh closed to within a point of Enterprise after they both recorded 2-1 victories over ADL Couva Sports and Perseverance Ball Runners respectively in Friday’s double-header at the Edinburgh 500 Recreation Ground, Chaguanas.
Meanwhile, the CFA’s Disciplinary Committee has taken a decision to suspend Flamengo FC from participating in the Premier Division and as such all points and goals awarded in their matches were deducted from the standings and clubs.
