Brent Antoine and Marlon Lawrence were on top form when the duo guided T&T Prisons to its second victory in three matches, to go joint top of the Eastern Football Association (EFA) Premiership Division, with a one-sided 5-1 win over La Horquetta XF over the weekend.
Antoine bagged a first half brace, adding to his two-goal winning tally last week to hand Prisons a 2-0 half time lead.
In the second half, Prisons continued to run riot when Lawrence scored within two minutes and added a second just before the hour mark. La Horquetta pulled a goal back just two minutes later through Kerry Superville but was unable to mount a comeback. Prisons got its final item when Lawrence completed a hat-trick in the 82nd minute.
The result put Prisons on top of the standings with two wins and a draw, level with WASA FC, which won its match 1-0 for the second straight week. Jabari Raphael scored in the 21st minute as WASA held onto its narrow lead until the final whistle. Matches will continue today and tomorrow, in the Premiership and First Division, respectively.
