W Connection’s coach Stuart Charles Fervier has admitted that he knows very little about his team’s Mexican opponent in the upcoming CONCACAF Champions Cup clash, but is confident that the ‘Savonetta Boys’ style of football would see them emerge victorious on Tuesday.

“It is not the first time we have played Central American opponents”, the coach commented, “We played Toluca last time when we drew 3-3 at home and lost 3-2 away, so our strategy would first of all be to win at home and also to deny them space to play while creating for ourselves.”

Fervier further lamented the unavailability of some of his top players like Silvio Spann and Clyde Leon who are injured and Brazilian midfielder Ronaldo Viana who is on a stint with a South Korean club.

The St Lucian born coach however stated the his team has suitable replacements, he stated, “Everyone at the club is a professional although some are very young and may not have the international experience as others, nonetheless it is a good opportunity for them to come forward and show their potential and I strongly believe they will rise to the occasion.”

He further welcomed back lanky Brazilian born midfielder Jose Luis Seabra into the fold after a long injury layoff; the player is expected to touch down in the country today.

The coach ended by saying that W Connection will approach the game very positively and that all their preparations are geared towards securing a victory on Tuesday.
