Vibe CT 105 W Connection’s Brazilian midfielder Jose Luis Seabra is set for a comeback and may possibly feature against the Mexican League Champions Chivas on Tuesday at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium in the first leg match of the CONCACAF Club Championship quarterfinals.

Seabra missed the entire 2006 Pro League season due to a knee injury and underwent cruciate ligament surgery in his homeland back in August of 2006 and had ever since been recovering.

According to the W Connection head coach Stuart Charles Fervier speaking with ‘ttproleague.com’, Seabra will be included in his eighteen-man squad along with Andre Toussaint another player coming off a knee injury to face Mexican Club Chivas.

“Seabra has been training with us full time since returning from Brazil on Thursday while Toussaint has started on Saturday. As for Seabra its just a matter of him regaining his strength, rhythm and confidence and knowing the type of player he is, it should not take long to come,” said the W Connection Coach.

As to whether or not Jose Luis Seabra would feature against Chivas on Tuesday, Fervier said, “Seabra along with Toussaint would be on the bench of substitutes. As to whether or not Seabra would play, depends on the position the team is in during the match. I suspect there is a possibility that he would play.”

W Connection would also be without a host of other players for this all important encounter as Silvio Spann and Clyde Leon are ruled out as both players are recovering from injuries, Brazilian midfielder Ronaldo Viana hasn’t returned to the Club from a trial with a South Korean Club currently on a pre-season tour of Brazil.

In addition to those players, Coach Fervier also confirmed he would be without young Matthew Bartholomew and Aaron Downing for their match on Tuesday as the pair is expected leave for a Belgium Club soon.

This however is not a problem for Fevrier as he believes he still has the squad of players to get the job done, “We will not be using Matthew Bartholomew and Aaron Downing as they are expected to leave soon for Belgium. Silvio and Clyde Leon are on injuries and Ronaldo Viana hasn’t returned from Brazil after going on a stint but all this is not much of a problem to us.”

“We will have a very youthful squad on Tuesday against the Mexican Club. I don’t dwell on who can’t play because I know I have a squad good enough and we still have to go out there and win.”
As to his team’s opponent Fervier expects a very difficult match against the Mexican Champions on Tuesday saying, “I have seen Chivas on tape and they are a good quality team just as all the South American teams. They are the Mexican Champions and that says a lot for them going into this match so we are expecting a very difficult match,” ended Fervier.

This would be the second time W Connection would meet a Mexican Club in the CONCACAF Club Championship after meeting Toluca in 2002 when they drew 3-3 at home and lost 3-2 away.
