The Philadelphia Union announced that Keon Daniel, along with Danny Mwanga, has joined the team at its preseason training camp in Florida today.

The 25-year-old has been missing from the Union since a September call up to the Trinidad and Tobago national team. Daniel left the United States on August 28 or 29, then did not re-enter the country until possibly today.

Visa problems forced the midfielder to remain in his home country as the 2011 MLS season came to a close and the playoffs approached. By the end of 2011 there were questions of whether or not Daniel would return to the team, despite being a part of the team's Expansion Draft protection list.

Daniel's importance with the Union for the upcoming season is unknown, but a starting role is not out of the question. The Tobogon international had nine starts in 18 games with the Union last year.

The Union also welcomed back Mwanga, while Tom Brandt and Brandon Zimmerman, both 2012 Supplemental Draft picks, were not invited to continue to train with the team.
