Jason Scotland (Ipswich vs Bristol Rovers)Wolves and Brighton and Hove Albion are both interested in signing out-of-favour Blues striker Jason Scotland on loan for the rest of the season.

The 33-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of June, has featured only once as a sub since Mick McCarthy took over at Portman Road and with David McGoldrick, Aaron Mclean and Frank Nouble having signed in recent days, seems destined to leave on loan during this transfer window.

The likes of Nathan Ellington and Ronan Murray would also appear set to move on.

League One Preston North End have also been monitoring the former Trinidad and Tobago international’s situation.

Meanwhile, reports in Norway claim the Blues are amongst a number of Championship clubs to have enquired about 25-year-old frontman Alexander Søderlund, who plays for Haugesund in his home country.

Rosenborg have also been linked with 6ft 1½in tall Søderlund, who has two years left on his contract, and who is unhappy that his current club have priced him out of potential moves.

Having signed three strikers in the last week, and with DJ Campbell still on the radar, the Blues would appear unlikely to pursue any interest in the 11-times-capped Norwegian international.
