Andre Boucaud: The midfielder must surely be in contention to start for the Magpies at MK Dons.

It was already a bit strange seeing him on the subs' bench this season because he was one of the club's best players during the last campaign.

And it will be even more so if he is not in the starting XI against the Dons after he scored the first international goal of his career this week.

While his team-mates were back at Meadow Lane preparing for their return to League One action, Boucaud was over in Saudi Arabia playing for Trinidad & Tobago in the OSN Cup and scored in a 3-1 win over the hosts in a third-place play-off.

The only thing that might stop Notts boss Chris Kiwomya throwing him into his team for a big game is if Boucaud is feeling the effects of a long trip back to England.

But it's more likely that he will return full of confidence and determined to play, having not started in the league since the first game at Sheffield United.

Gary Liddle is plainly going to start in midfield, but Boucaud could still replace either Joss Labadie or Mark Fotheringham as Notts try to halt their losing run in the league.
