KEVIN AUSTIN and his back-four colleagues will set out to make amends today after Swansea's defensive shortcomings were alarmingly exposed at the Galpharm Stadium.

The Swans entertain League One bottom side Brentford knowing they must avoid a repeat of Saturday's second-half collapse if they are to retain genuine hopes of automatic promotion.

"We were very downbeat in the dressing room after Huddersfield - everyone's gutted because it's a bad result for us after being 2-0 up," said Austin.

"We did well in the first half, but we never really performed to our best in the second half.

"It's hard to pinpoint what went wrong. Huddersfield chucked everything at us and, in the end, they deservedly got the three points.
"I thought the penalty decision against us at the end was harsh. I don't think Marcos (Painter) intentionally chopped the guy down.

"But the referee's mood was swinging one way and the other so it felt like he would give a penalty.

"It's disappointing, but we've got to pick ourselves up and go again against Brentford.

"It's vital we bounce straight back with a win."

While Lee Trundle starts a three-match ban, boss Kenny Jackett must decide whether to recall Andy Robinson to the starting XI after the Scouse midfielder was rested in Yorkshire, Tommy Butler impressing in his absence.

Even if Robinson is reinstated, Butler could still keep his place in the Swans line-up if Leon Britton is ruled out through illness as he was at the weekend.

Jackett's men will be facing a rock-bottom Bees side fresh from their first win in 23 league and cup games this season, toppling Chesterfield 2-1 at Griffin Park on Saturday.
