Midfielder is getting set for his first season with Japanese Division Two club Yokohama FC.

The energetic former Vibe CT 105 W Connection player has been with the club for the past few weeks, taking an active part in their pre-season training camp in Hawaii.

Spann, who had been in the local team for the semi-final round before having to take up duty with his new club, called in the T&T camp on the Monday, before the clash with United States to wish his teammates well.

“It’s been a good experience so far. I have settled into the set up here and pre-season training has been intense but enjoyable so far,” Spann said.

“I am just working really hard to ensure that I am in the first team when the league starts, and at the same time I’m trying to keep my game up because I still intend to come back and rejoin the national team once I get a call up and can make the trip back.”

Spann is one of three overseas players at the club, with German Steven Tweed and Brazilian Jefferson Viera Da Cruz also on the roster. Spann’s team opens their 2005 season against Shonan on March 5.
