YOUNG Trinidadian Jonathan Glenn is banging in the goals in the IBV - Iceland Premier League.

The youngster from Maloney scored 16 goals in 24 appearances in the league which helped his team being voted Team of the Year.

One of Glenn’s goals was also voted Goal of the Year and he was awarded the Silver Boot. Last year, Glenn was voted IBV Player of the Year and was awarded the league’s Golden Boot.

The young centre forward played for Jacksonville United in the Sunshine Conference, Miami, between 2012-2013 during which they won and he was voted the Golden Boot.

Glenn attended and played for St Leo University from 2007- 2011 and netted 41 goals and had 16 assists in 57 games, moving him to eighth on the all-time list of goalscorers at the University.

Glenn was a member of the Soca Warriors squad and played against Cuba and Curacao in the Caribbean Cup 2014.

Meanwhile, IBV coach Siggi Eviolfason has high hopes for Glenn, who said he admires his discipline both on and off the field.
