Former goalkeeper and current coach John Granville is leaving Adams Park, wwfc.com can reveal.

Granville originally joined the Blues from Millwall in March 1987 as cover for Gary Lester and soon become first choice goalkeeper. He was Martin O'Neill's number one in the first season at Adams Park and helped the Blues win the FA Trophy at Wembley in 1991 despite playing with a broken thumb.

He made over 160 appearances for the Wanderers before joining Aldershot. John returned to Adams Park in August 2006 as goalkeeping coach under Paul Lambert.

Wanderers' Managing Director Steve Hayes explained that the club had been forced to restructure its coaching and admin staff for financial reasons.

Youth team administrator Nicky Chivers is also leaving Wycombe Wanderers having spent more than thirteen years with the club. She began working part-time in commercial office before joining the full-time staff in 2001. Nicky was appointed youth team administrator in 2003.

Wycombe Wanderers would like to thank both John and Nicky for their services to the club and wish them every success in the future.
