Clayton InceWalsall goalkeeper Clayton Ince insists he isn’t thinking beyond the final game of the season as the Saddlers prepare to enter contract talks.
The goalkeeper has reiterated he is fully focused on football despite constant speculation on his future.

The Trinidad and Tobago international’s deal expires in the summer and with talks yet to start he could feel unsettled.

But, with boss Chris Hutchings confirming he will sit down with his out-of-contract stars soon, Ince insists he will not consider his future until after the Saddlers host Oldham next week.

He said: “I’m concentrating on playing at the moment. My management and the Walsall management have to discuss it and it’s up to them what they do.

“My performances are vital and that’s what I will concentrate on. If I perform well, those around the table will decide my future.”

Now Ince has called for one last hurrah from Walsall but admits their final flourish is unlikely to be pretty.

The 36-year-old knows the Saddlers fans will be eager for the campaign to end, after they failed to make the League One play-offs.
