Clayton Ince has called for his team-mates to stay strong and together over the Christmas Period.

The Saddlers face three games inside a week with an away trip to Bristol Rovers on Boxing Day followed by home games against Norwich City (Monday, 28th) and Charlton Athletic (Saturday, 2nd).

The trio of clubs are all above Chris Hutchings' Men in the League One table and Ince has called upon The Saddlers to prove themselves as contenders.

"As a team, at this stage of the season, we have to stick together be a strong unit and don't show any weaknesses," he said. "We have hard games coming up but we're looking forward to it because it gives us a challenge and pushes us to see how far we can really get into this league.

"They are the top sides and we have to prove we deserve to be up there. We'll be playing them and working hard to show the other teams around us we deserved to be where we are.

"Judge us after those games. We know they are strong but we know we have the ability, we need go to there and show it rather than talk about it."
