KEVIN Austin was left a happy man after Boston United kept their third clean sheet in a row as they edged out Gloucester City on Saturday.

Shaun Pearson grabbed the only goal of the game, forcing home Jamie Yates’ cross in the 80th minute, to see off a sprited Tigers side.

“We’re really pleased with the way things are going, but we’ve got to keep going and not get carried away,” said the on-loan defender.

“Different teams play different styles and its up to us to adapt to different styles if we want to get the results – that’s football for you.

“They were workmanlike and we broke them down in the end, but they were tough to beat.”

United now face Alfreton tomorrow night in a crunch top-of-the-table battle.
