Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs Bermuda Game (07-Oct-11).

TnT is a shiytty team and to add TTFF is a incompetent and short sightedt organization. The cowardly excuse of financial problems was evident in the manner that TnT snubbed Haiti back in July, just to avoid a real arsewhipping in Port-au-Prince. Even though this would have been the better prep match for TnT before the WC qualification. Instead they cowardly ran from a better team to go play facking India as preparation. TnT ran but their feet are now failing them. It's math time and hope that others fack up, because TnT will not get to the other round on its own.

Football / Re: Out of all the Caribbean teams who went WC.

Let's not forget that in 74, only 16 teams made it to the WC. So you can say those teams all made it to the 1/8 finals. It wasn't until 1978 that it was increased to 32 teams. Also Cuba never "qualified" for a WC. Cuba went to the WC in 1938 by invitation as it was commonly done back then and not by qualification.

Assrancid, I am not blaming you. Just wanted to make a point to clear away any assertions. BTW, life expaectancy in Haiti is not low because people really die at 53 on average, but it is low because of the high infant mortality that is taken into account when counting the average. Meaning if 8 out of 10 people in Haiti lives to 90 and 2 dies at the age of 1. An average is taken which reduces the total to less than 90 years due to the 2 that dies at the age of one. In general adults in Haiti live as long as everyone else from personal experience.

Now I have good news and bad news: Ouf, sigh of relief! The good news out just now is that the persons in the video according to authorities of both countries are not Dominicans or Haitians. The bad news is that it is not a montage and was perpetrated on a poor farmer by paramilitaries in Aguachica, Colombia according to Haitian/DR officials. This VDO was posted  this week in www.lafiscalia.com and yesterday in www.caracol.com and was recognized as the works of Colombian paramilitaries. Nonetheless it is a sad world that we live in taken into account what is going on in Mexico, Colombia, and in the sugar plantation of the DR.

5
Yes, international as far as Haitians and Dominicans in both countries and their diasporas. But not so from major Int'l media (a la BBC, AFP, Reuters, AP etc..).  The respective gov't are still trying to authenticate if this really happened and where. DR/officials are stating the accents are Colombians/Venezuelans, and the Haitian gov't will not make any public comments until they know for sure that the victim is a Haitian migrant. But they are working hand in hand and today the DR president stated that this is a sign that there is are real historical problems and perceptions between the two nations.

He also referred to the 1937 massacre by Trujillo of an est. 30,000 Haitians, where to distinguish Haitians from Dominicans, people were asked to say Perejil "parsley", something weirdly akin to what is found in the bible in Judges 12:6.

6
Haiti is not as bad as the media would like to portray it, and unfortunately as some of you here with Haitian friends portray their own country. Lesson, never let a trini from the ghetto represent TnT to go tell the world about Trinidad. Any Haitian person who claims that their Prez always get assassinated is oblivious to history or just the truth. Next time ask him/her for the name of the last prez that got assassinated rather than negative broad brush. In fact I'll tell you. the last president that got assassinated was right before the American Occupation in 1914. No other prez since has been assassinated in Haiti.

As far as Haitians eating mud pies, again another broad swipe of the media's attempt at denigrating the entire country. Things happening in cite soleil or the slums are always generalized as happening all over. An unfair practice if applied to TnT or Jamaica regarding poverty or crime would rally evreyone to the subjectivity/unfairness of such reports. They never show you the good side for a reason!

7
The Haitian government is launching its investigation and the situation has gone to the highest levels. The DR gov't has claimed the video to be a montage/fake, so the Haitian gov't is looking to see to the genuineness of this gruesome act. DR is stating the people speaking sounds more like Venezolanos/Colombians. But this is common and the difference is that this time it made its way to the net.

The poor man apparently had his other hand cut off before, and was theatened to have his head cut off if he moved or tried to run. So to save his head, he gave the other hand.

Lies, lies and more lies! They should stick to football rather than go on a denigrating campaign.
"JA can't even come close", You must have seen a one sided video as usual. Get over that one upmanship tribal crap, already.

Haiti will not lose in Port au Prince to Trinidad! We are by far the better team and this was clearly evident at the last game. The question is by how much we're going to win. Due to not having any of the foreign based players at this point, and missing a good striker, I predict a low score in favor of Haiti.

Correction: Nou respekte tout moun, men nou pa pe peson. Translation: We respect everyone, but we are not afraid of anybody. We can and will take the US/Mex at this level. Even as the world champ, our u17 disqualified Mex in 2007. We won't underestimate them, that's all.

Thank God my credibility does not depend on someone who calls himself Zandolie. Crawl never, that's for a Zandolie, but upright and in your face is my style. Seems like you have a grudge. I am going to make sure from now on you keep notes. Now it seems as if hope has given way to anger. But I am not the type to add insult to injury. Find an outlet and slow down on the spicy curry!!!

I think this is the first goal Cuba has gotten in the whole tourney.  First round, they scored like 30 goals. Either Grenada is better than I think, or Cuba took their foot off the pedal and cruised with the bench/reserve team. The last game is all for honor, and he that wants it the most will get it...I hope TnT don't underestimate Grenada, or it'll be JA/Bahamas all over again.

Lesly St. Fleur is Haitian but grew up in the Bahamas. That's who the crowd was basically cheering for. He missed two late chances and could have made it 3 nil.

The Bahamian team did also have about 3 or 4 white guys whom I suspect are naturalized citizens. Bermuda loves to pull that foreign card also, and the roster always tell you place of birth, England, Ireland etc...

ANY NEWS on CUBA vs GRENADA

"The Haitians U17 don't go to school" because some tried to stay in NY. You're a dumb jackass, Coops. You obviously just wanted to take a low blow at the Haitian u17 with that last stupid comment. A..hole, you're a sore loser, and your team ended dead last with 0 points and 14 freaking goals. You lil' piece of vomit crap, the Haitian players are not only in school by laws, but some play in first div. or for their respective schools. Shut the F up and find out b4 making these nonsense attacks on the Haitian u17. It's a stupid exercise in one upmanship, and at the end of the day, as CFU champs, they still out-performed your team. All said, now go f...ck yourself....

Haiti should have won this game 2-1. Haiti's goal on corner kick, with a header to the back of the net, was disallowed.  People are still speculating as to why. Some say the ref is claiming that the CK  went out and came back in, but only him saw it since the linesman did not raise his flag. France's PK was definitely a favor by the ref. The Haitian Goalie and French player went for a cross, in the box, and collided mid-air (in the box), and at minutes 88' or 89'. Come on, even the french player thought that he was wrong by his gestures.. This French ex-pat living in the Seychelles should have never been allowed to ref this game. Imagine TnT palying England and your ref is an  ex-pat from Bermuda or isle of freaking jersey.

“Most of the Baltimore Sportif players are from the Haitian national team"
Wrong, wrong, wrong... I wonder where the Jablotethpeople get their info from.  The Haitian NT only had Alain Vuibert and Peter Germain on the roster. The  psychological game is very weak from the start, and of course will backfire after the first Haitian goal. I feel a repeat coming on....

22
Toussaint, I agree that the Haitian players played 6 matches straight, but there is plenty of time to rest after the cup. Starting the bench was a mistake! How could you leave your starter, such as Cadet, Guillaume, and Fucien for the second half. Even though we had already made it through for the gold cup, the full 9pts would have help in our ranking. We did much better when the starters came in. We will meet TnT again at the finals!!!

That's what happens when you host a cup with Haiti in it. On top of that, Haiti and TnT are in the same group. I'll stop by to say hi after the Digicup from time to time.

Football / Re: French Invasion Through Guadeloupe?
« on: January 15, 2007, 03:10:17 PM »
I was making an observation with regards to the different groups and the pattern that I see. I've never heard any notion of support based on color or race, between those support Brazil or Argentina, but I would be lying if I didn't say that class affiliation is not present in matter. I have heard those who speak bad of Brazil, mention their so call FAVELA roots. Maybe I am hanging with a Bougie crowd! In the Caribbean class sometimes supersedes what others may see as color.

25
Many of these guys end up in French First, second div. etc because that's where the mula is. They don't all make it to the French NT. Two or three of the Guadeloupe players actually play in France's first div. Those two departments also have a good local soccer league with talented players.
Guadeloupe 2 - Cuba 1
St. Vincent 2 - Gyuana 0

I am sure some probably supported TnT as a fellow Caribbean state. But Haitians are not monolithic in their support, for any team. There is a pattern, though!
For the majority, Haiti comes first and Brazil second. For the other group, it's Haiti and Argentina. The same people that tends to support Brazil will be more likely to support TnT or the Nigerias, Cameroun etc... Those who support Argentina more than likely would be supporters of France, or other Euros. My observation....

Some of these idiots think that they can a make a point by using the F words. Childish! The message that Haiti will send TnT is by getting the 6pts from barbados, "convincingly". We'll see who the real fools are, and by by the languages on this thread, we are already aware who they are. We are all here to post our comments, it can be done without the F words etc... Check your emotions, and count to ten before posting. Childish use of profanity does not accomplish anything.

Small magician, what's with the profanity?  Why are small people always  so angry? Three F**k in a row! Control your emotion and maybe you might be able to contribute to an intelligent discussion. Leave the cursing out of the forum. Personally I am above that....

That's sounds like something out of warner's little black book. No worry, mentally the Haitian NT is fit, and with this psychological advantage of having gained 3pts, we will not play with them like the Trinis.

After Haiti give the Bajans their buss ass on Monday, and Martinique beat TnT, you might actually need a psychiatrist. Wait until Tuesday morning, I could refer the team to a good professional shrink. LOL....
