As much as I am happy, and anxiously anticipating the sight of my all-time favorite T&T playmaker in his birth-right T&T #10 shirt. I am cautious to let some folks understand that Latas eh no panacea to this present team’s challenges, in fact, I see him more as a Panadol.
Firstly Latas is 37, an although some players can be evergreen like Baresi, Maldini, Roger Miller, and right here in Concacaf - Medford; it is left to be seen how much of the old Latas remains, and how much will be exhibited on Saturday.
Other forumites mentioned in an earlier post that T&T lost many times in the past with Latas, and that is a fact that should not me dispelled. Yet, we all love the magic of our own “Little Magicianâ€, his return could encourage more local support, revitalize the dream, spark a fight out of the younger warriors, and even rekindle fire in some of the older warriors. Simply put, Latas’ presence alone fuels excitement and evokes the possibility of some much needed imagination and creativity in our attacking-third…..Latas the Panadol.
Will this Panadol work for our present headaches? Hmmmmmmm, I guess it all depends on how strong ah dose we get on Saturday, and if the good Doctor Leo decides to administer Jack and Dwight’s prescription.
I think we are in for probably one of the best games of the campaign this Saturday, Guatemala will not be a push over and are down right dangerous in attack (an area where we have major problems,) The Warriors have to show up and get the job done from the first whistle, not after they one and two goals down........
It will be blood and sand all the way, this is do or die, the Hex does not get better than this. GOOD LUCK TnT!!!
p.s. Funny how times change, Joe Public picket and protest Dwight and Russell a few years ago, now the same Joe Public (pun intended) is ready to bury the hatchet…..
SSSWWWWEEEEEEEEEEET T&T!!!!!!!
