Grenadian National Team goalkeeper Shemel Louison and Jamaican defender Keith ‘Keithy’ Simpson are two new faces welcomed by the TT Pro League during the December-January transfer window.

Both 22 year olds, Louison joined Caledonia AIA from Grenadian club Queens Park Rangers while Simpson, a former Jamaica U20 player, signed with North East Stars from Jamaican club Tivoli Gardens.

Commenting on the signing of goalkeeper Louison, Caledonia AIA Coach Jerry Moe told ttproleague.com that Technical Director Jamaal Shabazz saw Louison during Caribbean Cup and believes the goalie is “pretty solid”.

Moe added, “We needed a goalkeeper to put some pressure on our starting goalkeeper (Glenroy Samuel) because the second choice goalkeeper Collin Edwards of Guyana wasn’t doing enough.”

Caledonia also signed former midfielder Sherron Joseph, younger brother of longstanding right-back Kareem Joseph, during the window which runs from December 17 – January 15.

Police FC, Central FC and T&TEC FC also took advantage of the window.

The Richard Hood coached-Lawmen snapped up Rangers' defenders Elijah Belgrave and Christon Thomas, and former Caledonia attacker, 23 year old, Kerry Frederick. While former goalkeeper and coach Anthony Marshall and experienced utility player Noel Williams, both last representing Super League's Club Sando, have been drafted back into the Police set-up.

And prior to the signing of ex-San Juan Jabloteh Head Coach Terry Fenwick last week, Central had already penned agreements with W Connection winger Rennie Britto on a loan to transfer agreement, St. Ann’s Rangers forward Hector Sam and Stokely Vale duo Rundell Winchester and Omar Charles.

Fenwick replaced fellow Englishman Graham Rix after a "mutual parting agreement" between the club and the former Chelsea assistant coach.

Fenwick, a former England international and four-time Pro League Championship winning coach, jumped into duty for the ‘Sharks’ League match against neighbouring rivals W Connection on Saturday and was stunned 3-0 by a Shahdon Wiinchester hat-trick after losing midfielder Anthony Wolfe to a second yellow card 27 minutes into the match.

Bottom of the table T&TEC did some shopping during the holidays with Head Coach Dexter Cyrus adding, 26 year old, former FC SouthEnd and Rangers player Larry Bacchus and defender Husani Thomas to his roster.

Bacchus started for the ‘Electric Boys’ on Friday, but his side suffered a 2-0 defeat against Police, the same result suffered in Round One under then Head Coach Jefferson George who now serves only as goalkeeper coach.
