Two-time defending champions Central FC will look to maintain its unbeaten league run when it faces Club Sando in the first match of a Digicel T&T Pro League double-header at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva this evening from 6pm.

The Dale Saunders-coached Central FC won a second meeting with second placed W Connection 2-1 on Tuesday at the same Couva venue to add to a similar result on October 4, lead the ten-team table with 28 points from ten matches, six more than W Connection while San Juan Jabloteh with 19 is third.

The Angus Eve-coached Club Sando, meanwhile enters the match on the back of a 2-0 loss to San Juan Jabloteh, which ended a three-match winning streak, and will be no doubt up for the challenge against today’s opponent, who eked out a 2-1 come-from-behind win in their first round meeting.

Two hours later at Couva, W Connection will also be eager to pick up a win against Police FC as it seeks to keep up its title bid.

However, the task will not be an easy one for W Connection, as both teams battled to a 2-2 draw in the first round, with the “Lawmen” twice going in front in that encounter.

And coming off a 4-4 draw with Ma Pau Stars on Tuesday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, the Todd Ryan-captain Police FC will hopeful of maximum points this time around.

On Sunday, at Morvant Recreation Ground, Park Street, Morvant, host Morvant Caledonia United meets St Ann’s Rangers from 3.30pm while another double-header is carded for Couva from 4pm. In the opener, Ma Pau Stars entertains Pt Fortin Civic to be followed by Defence Force and San Juan Jabloteh from 6pm.
