Defence Force custodian Cleon John has joined the 2006 Courts Pro Bowl and Lucozade Sport Big Six Champions CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh on a one-year contract with option for a second.

Coach Terry Fenwick of the Pro League Club announced his new addition speaking with ‘ttproleague.com’ at the Dwight Yorke Stadium training ground, Tobago.
Fenwick said, “We signed Cleon with long term interest. Cleon is a great goal keeper and we expect great things from him.”

“He has been with us during our pre-season training and only this week we have decided on the contract which he agreed to,” confirmed the English born Coach.
The Jabloteh boss explained his reason for signing the 23-year-old goalkeeper is solely on a long-term interest.

“We have Brian James who is about 31 years old now and he would be looking to retirement very soon. With Cleon, Brian and Durance Williams working together this coming season it would be beneficial to the club, and by the time Brian decides to call it quits, I would have someone good to replace him,” explained Fenwick.

According to the Jabloteh Head Coach, Brian James has shown huge interests in being a goal keeper coach.

Currently the San Juan Jabloteh team minus a couple of players who are on national duty in Guadeloupe will take part in a mini-tournament labeled the ‘Clico Cup’ in Tobago from the 24-28 March. The participating teams are English Division One Club, Millwall FC, Pro League Club, Tobago United and St Clair Coaching School.
