Leading goalscorer Yafeu Rougier netted a first half double on Sunday to lead W Connection to a 2-1 win against home side North East Stars at the Ojoe Road Recreation Ground in Sangre Grande in Round Two Match Day Four Under 15 fixtures.

Rougier, who now leads the goalscoers list with 25 goals already, registered his brace in quick succession, hitting the mark in the 40th and 41st minutes while Andell Jones pulled one back for the home side in the 67th minute.

The victory pushed Connection back in top spot with 39 points after slipping into second behind Adam’s Construction San Juan Jabloteh on a lesser goal difference in the previous match-day.

Meantime Jabloteh (36 points) dropped points over the weekend with a 3-0 defeat against third positioned St. Ann’s Rangers (31 points).

Marquise Hoyte opened the scoring in the 24th minute for the visitors playing at San Juan Secondary Ground before Mykal Campbell and Jamal Philbert had the match out of Jabloteh’s reach with items in the 50th and 67th minutes respectively.

Fourth positioned T&TEC also enjoyed being in winners’ row with a comfortable 6-0 win over Police FC at the Trinity College East Ground.

Police limited T&TEC to just one goal in the first period when Chinua Bernard found the back of the net in the 10th minute, however hold their own in the second period conceding five more items in the 6-0 defeat with Dominic Joseph-Jangoo (55th minute), Marquez McLean (57th minute), Nathan Harte (60th minute), Adriel Kerr (73rd minute) and Mikahail Lewis (80th minute).

In the other U15 clash seventh positioned Defence Force’s Sterling Sween (38th minute) and Ryan McKenzie (60th minute) scored on either side of the half for a 2-0 win over sixth positioned Joe Public.

Joe Public U17, Connection U13 maintain top spot stretch

Joe Public didn’t have a favourable result in Sunday’s U13 meeting against Defence Force with a 2-2 result followed by a 2-0 defeat in the U15s, however the Lions maintain its points gap at the top of the standings with a 2-0 win in the Under 17 division.

Dwight Quintero scored both goals in the 2-0 win with a goal on either side of the half in the 30th and 73rd minutes to see his side enjoy a seven points lead at the top with 39 points and followed by San Juan Jabloteh in second with 32 points.

W Connection with 27 points remain third but boasted the biggest U17 win on Sunday with a 5-1 result over ninth positioned North East Stars.

Connection also had the biggest victory of the day in Sunday’s Round Two Match Day Four action.

The Couva based club U13 division whipped North East Stars 8-0 with Isaiah Hudson (4th, 11th, 16th , 21st and 51st minutes) netting a handful and Judah St. Louis (35th minute), Bradlee Lee Foon (61st minute) and Jarod Gordon (64th minute) notching an item each.

Connection continues to lead the standings with a massive 40 points, nine ahead of second positioned Joe Public(31 points) and eleven ahead of third positioned Jabloteh(29 points).
