Despite their heavy 6-1 loss to the United States in their opening 2005 CONCACAF Under-20 Final Round qualification Group A match, the Trinidad and Tobago will be looking for full points against the Costa Ricans, whom they meet tonight.

National Under-20 coach Anton Corneal said the team needs to focus on the game ahead when they take the field against the Central American team at the Home Depot Centre, Carson, California.

"We watched the game between them (Costa Rica) and Panama on Wednesday," Corneal explained. "We are going to try to exploit their left side of the field, which was very weak against Panama. They are very strong in attack and midfield. We took too long to get into the game, and we need to make sure we don't repeat that against Costa Rica."

On the game against the US, though, Corneal felt his team was just not ready for the encounter.

"We took too long to adjust, not just to the conditions, but to the intensity the Americans brought to us. We got four goals in 30 minutes. When we looked at the video, we saw they were better than us in too many ways.
