Diamond Scaffolding completed the double in the Barrackpore Football Association 2012 season when they humiliated Madingo by a 5-1 margin in the finals of the league competition on Saturday night at the Carat Hill recreation ground in Barrackpore.

In front of a good crowd, the Diamond team prevailed and much to the delight of their fans who withstood the rain to come out and support their team.  On a waterlogged pitch Madingo took the lead through Sevon Fredericks but could have easily doubled that lead soon after but muffed a clear cut chance.

Diamond then got into the act and their organised brand of football saw them equalised and then destroy the Madingo Boys as Errol Charles struck a double and Jesse Downing, Nigel Daniel 1 and Atiba Mcknight finished the rout. For their efforts Diamond walked away with $6,000.
Earlier in the week, Diamond Scaffolding took care of Ronnie Electrical Strangeville in the knockout finals, as man of the series McKnight and Anthony Parris both scored to secure a 2-0 win. McKnight who was a standout player for Naparima College back in the days scored a total of 13 goals in the series and was named most valuable player.
