On Facebook, Cordner said, “As a kid I always had a dream and I turned my dream into reality, and it all started for me at the age of six right here at the Speyside Recreational Grounds, so now it’s my time to give back to the community of Speyside so the youths can also have the same opportunity I have or even better! So it gives me great pleasure in hosting this youth tournament come July 16th! Monstas out.”
Cordner is one of TT’s most successful footballers and was in great form in her debut season for Fenerbahce in the Turkish Women’s League. She ended the season top of the charts with 34 goals as Fenerbahce reached the playoff semis.
One of the sponsors of the tournament is the Tobago House of Assembly.
