Jovan Rochford was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 2010 season, as the Arima-based football team first FC Santa Rosa held their annual prize distribution ceremony at the Arima North Secondary School (formerly Arima Senior Comprehensive School).

Rochford’s father Timothy was adjudged Coach of the Year while Kitwana Manning was named Goalkeeper of the Year and Jonathan Steele was voted Student/Player of the Year at Saturday morning’s function.

In his address, club president and owner Keith Look Loy commended the parents and coaches for their respective roles within the team. But the former national youth team captain and coach made a massive plea for the Arima business community to support his club’s desire to compete in the next Digicel Pro League season.

Also addressing the gathering were women national team coach Jamaal Shabazz, national Under-20 and Under-23 coach Zoran Vranes and Kansas City Wizards scout Peter Vermes.
