T&T Prisons and Queen's Park Cricket Club continued their march towards promotion to the CNG National Super League Premier Division after picking up their fourth win from five matches in the Championship Division on Tuesday.

At the Youth Training Centre, Arouca, Curtis Carrington notched a pair of goals to lead T&TEC over Xtra Foods Chaguanas FC, 5-2.

Carrington opened the scoring in the 13th minute while Lance Haynes (29th) and Stephen Julien (37th) added goals before the half for a 3-0 lead.

On the resumption, Jamal Lucas pulled a goal back for Chaguanas in the 58th, but Cleve Moore (71st) and Carrington, with his second in the 81st responded for Prisons to lead 5-1 while Kareem Beckles got a late second item for Chagauanas on the stroke of full-time.

The win lifted Prisons to 13 points from their first five matches, the same as Queen's Park which got a goal each from Benedict Barrett in the 38th and Jerome Charles, in the 69th to blank host Edinburgh 500 FC at Edinburgh 500 Recreation Ground.

Up at the University of T&T Ground, O'Meara Road, Arima, visitors Cunupia FC also won 2-0 through a second-half brace from Stevon Stoute in the 51st and 78th to move to within three points of the leaders.

In the two other matches, Petit Valley crushed Malabar FC 4-0 at the Diego Martin Recreation Ground, with a goal each from four different players while former T&T striker,  Hector Sam grabbed a brace in Saddle Hill Hotspure 3-2 defeat of Barrackpore United SC at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Training Ground, Mucurapo.
