PRISONS FC continued their winning ways in the CNG National Super League Championship Division after taking care of Malabar FC 3-1 on Tuesday in a Match Day Six fixture.

The league leaders went ahead through Ricardo Alleyne in the 14th minute, and extended their lead courtesy of an own goal in the 50th. Kelvin Ramnath put the game beyond doubt in the 84th but Malabar got a consolation item through Richard Ayers in the 90th. 

Queen’s Park remain in second spot, but dropped two vital points as they were held to a goalless draw by Petit Valley United at the Queen’s Park Oval, St Clair. 

Third-placed Cunupia FC were also held to a draw - 2-2 by Saddle Hill Hotspur at the Edinburgh 500 Recreation Ground, Chaguanas. 

Cunupia stormed to a 2-0 lead following an own goal in the 11th and Lester Joseph in the 19th, but Saddle Hill replied with strikes from former Trinidad and Tobago striker Hector Sam in the 45th and Cyrano Glen in the 87th. 

The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) swapped places with Edinburgh 500, following a 3-0 win in the clash of cellar-placed teams at the UTT O’Meara campus in Arima. 

Finding the back of the net for UTT were Isaiah Mejias (seventh), McRoy McKnight (29th) and Jamal Creighton (76th). 

Barrackpore United and Xtra Foods Chaguanas featured in a goalless stalemate at the Barrackpore Recreation Ground.
