CRAB CONNECTION maintained their slim one point lead over defending champions Joe Public after a 2-0 victory over Police in the 12th round of the Sportworld Super League on Sunday. Michael Alexis got a double for the "Crabs," in the 49th and 72nd minutes at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima.


But Joe Public remained in second spot after a narrow 2-1 triumph over Superstar Rangers at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Tunapuna. Wolry Wolfe notched the winner for the "Eastern Lions" in the 68th minute following Colin Roberts’ equaliser in the 56th.

Carlington Smith got the early strike for the hosts in the 29th.

Billy Dee Scantlebury (22nd) and Darrin Lewis (68th) were on target for WASA Clean & White, who strolled to a 2-0 win over M&M Harvard at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.

After Media 21 FC got a shock 12th minute lead from Chijoke Edwards, Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix responded with items from Steffon Hector (25th), Dominique Kerr (65th) and Lejandro Williams (72nd) to record a 3-1 win at Canaan, Bon Accord.

But PLIPDECO Caroni got a narrow 3-2 triumph over Stokelyvale at the nearby Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, with strikes from Jason Cudjoe (ninth), Marlon Stoute (35th) and Hayden Vincent (54th), while Devon Leacock (11th) and Michael Carrington (69th) scored for the hosts.

Maraval Youth Academy needed a 52nd minute equaliser from Dustin Felician to earn a 1-1 draw against Couva Players United, at the Trinity College Ground, Moka, Maraval.

St Nicholas Benjamin gave Couva the lead, which only lasted for nine minutes.
