Third placed Wasa Clean and White gave former league leader Crab Connection the shock of its life yesterday, winning their key Sportworld National Super League match day 13 fixture 2-1 at Wasa ground in St Joseph.


At the Ato Boldon Stadium, Joe Public took over the lead with a 4-0 drubbing of Couva Players United.

In the first minute of their match, Wasa’s Kirt Hutchins got Clean and White’s first goal.

Wasa never allowed Crab to settle and scored again in the fifth minute through Darin Lewis.

Crab eventually found the net in the 90th minute through Marlon Warner.

For Public, Roen Nelson got a double, scoring in the 11th and 58th minutes, while Carlington Smith and Wolry Wolfe scored in the 45th and 75th minutes respectively.

In Tobago, Angostura 1976 F.C Phoenix got the better of arch-rivals Stokely Vale 6-3.

Phoenix’s goals came from Dominique Kerr (6th, 78th), Gary Bruce (21st), Kevin Keith (28th, Lejandro Williams (30th) and Hayden Moses (65th pen) while Stokely Vale’s Sean Christmas (34th), Warren Phillips (68th pen) and Darron Williams (87th) led the resistance for their team.

Marlon Stoute was the hero for Plipdeco Caroni in its 2-0 win over Media 21, scoring in the 18th and 80th minutes.

And in the first match of a double header at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo Superstar Rangers beat Maraval Youth Academy 2-1.

Akudo Goodridge opened the scoring in the sixth minute before

Clinton Corbin equalised in the 66th minute. Goodridge got the match winner in the 69th minute.
