AARON LESTER and Josimar Belgrave each registered hat-tricks as Defence Force embarrassed Club Sando Moruga 7-1 at the Defence Force headquarters in Chaguaramas on Sunday.

Action was in Match Day 15 of the National Super League Premiership Division.

Defence Force jumped one place on the points table, from fourth to third, after their comprehensive trouncing of the second-placed Club Sando Moruga.

Lester got his name on the scoresheet in the third, 23rd and 39th minutes, while Belgrave got in the act, with strikes in the seventh, 17th and 28th. Ronald St Louis ended the rout with an item in the 67th.

Donrick Mascall got the consolation for Club Sando Moruga, in the 51st.

Sports and Games FC Santa Rosa remained in first place after a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bethel United at the Mt Gomery Recreation Ground. Jean Paul Aqui-Blanc opened the scoring after two minutes while Keron Clarke chipped in with two more, in the 18th and 65th.

Real Maracas FC moved from 10th to eighth place after a hard-fought 5-4 win over Matura ReUnited at the Arima Velodrome.

Veteran midfielder Ryan Stewart notched a second half treble, in the 50th, 58th and 64th, following an own goal in the 35th and a strike from Omeaku Barbour in the 36th.

Zavion Navarro- Patron netted twice for Matura, in the 45th and 68th, while Roen Moore (38th) and Kelvin Smith (54th) contributed one each.

Another team who climbed two places on the standings were Guaya United, who swept past Queen’s Park 4-1 at the New Lands Ground, Guayaguayare.

Carlon Hughes had a pair, in the 31st and 90th, with Leroy Jones (22nd) and Kendes Garcia (83rd) scored one each. Jason Devenish pulled one back for the Parkites, in the 72nd.

Police caged Petrotrin Palo Seco 3-0 at the Palo Seco Velodrome, with Kareem Perry (13th), Trent Noel (35th) and Jason Boodram (80th) getting their names on the scoresheet.

WASA earned a narrow 2-1 win over Marabella Family Crisis Centre at the WASA Ground, St Joseph. Glen Walker put the hosts ahead in the fourth minute but Juma Clarence equalised in the 51st.

However, evergreen striker Gary Glasgow netted the winner, in the 79th.

The day’s other fixture saw Siparia Spurs and Tobago FC Phoenix 1976 battle to a 1-1 draw.

Dominique Kerr put Phoenix in front a minute into the second half, but Chris Collins earned a share of the points when he scored in the 78th.

Cunupia brush aside Carenage Utd.

CUNUPIA FC brushed aside Carenage United 3-0 last Saturday, in a rescheduled National Super League Championship Division Match Day Nine match at the Dibe Recreation Ground, Long Circular, St James.

Stevon Stoute got the scoring underway in the 21st minute, with Michael Yaw Darko finding the back of the net five minutes later. And Taurean Sobers put the game beyond reach of Carenage with a strike in the 32nd.

With the result, Cunupia and Carenage swapped places on the points standings, with Cunupia fourth with 13 points, two more than Carenage.
