JOE PUBLIC Football Club remained on course to complete the double in the National Super League after reaching the knockout final where they will play Tobago's Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix from 7.30 p.m. on Friday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.

Already the winners of the 2004 league title, "Eastern Lions" Joe Public played their way to the final with a comfortable 3-0 win over Police.

Joe Public got a flying start through Carlington Smith, who shot them ahead in the third minute. Jamaican Roen Nelson, the top scorer for the season, then doubled the East team's tally when he got their second goal in the 28th minute and then sewed up the game in the 66th minute with his second of the match.

Opponents Phoenix caused somewhat of an upset when they scored a 1-0 victory over league runners-up LSporto Connection.

The winning goal was scored by Kayode Legall in the 40th minute.
