Michael-Lee Celestine scored a pair of goals as WASA washed away Alcoa Carenage United in their re-scheduled bmobile National Super League match at WASA St Joseph Ground on Wednesday.

Discarded T&T player Devon Mitchell opened the scoring for WASA in the 20th minute and Mervyn Brooks doubled the lead seven minutes before the half, for a comfortable 2-0 cushion at the break.

On the resumption, the “Water Boys” continued their dominance with Celestine opening his account in the 69th minute for a 3-0 lead.

Nigel Hart added his name to the scorer’s list in the 81st minute while Celestine completed the drubbing two minutes from full-time.

With the much needed win, WASA beaten by St Francois Nationals 2-1 on the weekend, improved to eight spot on the 13-team table with 17 points from 12 matches, 14 adrift of runner-away leaders Joe Public.

In another match, M&M Harvard missed a chance to go second on the table after a 1-1 draw with Defence Force at Chaguaramas. Both goals came in the opening ten minutes, with Marvin Jones putting the host ahead in the seventh minute while Shatton Ollivierre replied for Harvard two minutes later.

The St James-based Harvard now has 21 points from 12 matches, the same as T&TEC and one behind neighbours Queen’s Park.
