Nathan Lewis netted a double as Eastern Football Association Premier Division winners, Valtrin United booked a spot in this year’s bmobile National Super League thanks to a third straight win in the T&T Football Federation Champion of Champions Qualifying Tournament on Saturday.

Valtrin crushed Valencia United 4-0 while in the other match Siparia Spurs edged Petit Valley United 2-1 at Irwin Park, Siparia. The win pushed Valtrin points tally to maximum nine from three matches, three ahead of Tobago Football Association champions, Stokely Vale which was on a bye and who it faces in its final match on Sunday.

In the other match, Southern Football Association’s Spurs edged Northern Football Association’s Petit Valley 2-1. Going into the penultimate round of matches tomorrow (Wednesday), Stokely Vale will be hoping to secure the other promotion spot with a win away to Petit Valley at the Diego Martin Government Secondary, from 3.30 pm. Spurs will host Valencia in tomorrow’s other encounter at Irwin Park also from 3.30 pm.
