Leader WASA FC was held to a 1-1 draw by 1976 FC Phoenix in a battle of the top teams on Match Day Six of the bmobile National Super League yesterday.

The “Water Boys” who held a two-point advantage over Phoenix before the match, had to come from behind to hold on for the draw at their home ground in St Joseph.

The in-form Dominique Kerr, gave the Tobago side the lead with a strike in the 23rd minute. However, Darin Lewis found the net three minutes later, to give his team a share of the points. WASA maintained its lead on 13 points, while Phoenix moved to 11.

This is the first point the “Water Boys” have dropped after winning four straight games. At the Palo Seco Velodrome, T&TEC, led by a double from Kevon Neaves, hammered Tobago’s Stokely Vale 5-0. T&TEC moved into third place on ten points.
