Defence Force earned the right to face 2009 beaten finalist T&TEC in the quarterfinals of the bmobile National Super League Knockout tournament on Wednesday.

The “Teteron Boys” booted out Club Sando 3-0 in their first round clash at the Youth Camp, Chaguaramas, yesterday.

Keston Williams opened the scoring with a 36th minute strike, which was followed by a Marvin James goal four minutes later as the Defence Force held a 2-0 advantage at the break.

The match was put away six minutes into the second half, as Kevin Pierre got into the action to make it 3-0.

At the Hasely Crawford training ground, Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) came from a goal down to register a 2-1 win over M & M Harvard. QPCC will now take on WASA in the final eight.

Harvard took the lead in the 33rd minute from a Colin Roberts strike.

However, Kevin Rouse drew QPCC level in the 40th minute, before Chike Phillip sealed the result with a 43rd minute strike.

At Shaw Park, Tobago, it took penalty kicks to separate home team Stokely Vale and Valtrin after a 3-3 end.

However, it was the visitors who avenged their 3-0 league defeat, with a 4-2 win on penalty kicks. Valtrin will now face bmobile Joe Public in the quarters.
