FC SANTA Rosa and 1976 FC Phoenix will contest the Under-18 final of the National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB)-sponsored National Youth League.

The semi-final matches in the Under-18 Division, as well as the Under-14 and Under-16 categories, took place on Saturday.

Santa Rosa needed kicks from the penalty spot to defeat SKHY FC 3-2, after both teams battled to a 3-3 draw at the end of regulation time.

Jordan Devonish (17th minute), Kerdel Chairman (55th) and David Lezama (69th) got their names on the scoresheet for Santa Rosa, while SKHY got a pair from Rochard Hyacenth (12th and 87th) and an own goal (20th).

Makeil McKenzie netted in the first minute to give Phoenix a 1-0 win over Siparia Spurs in the other semi-final.

In the Under-16 semi-finals, Stokely Vale FC whipped Eagles United 2-0 with items from Jeremy Benjamin (68th) and Devon Stewart (80th) while Anderson Toussaint (29th) was on target as Southern Football Academy edged FC Santa Rosa 1-0.

Moruga FC progressed to the Under-14 final after blanking Phoenix 2-0, with Maurice Dick opening the scoring in the sixth minute while an own goal compounded Phoenix’s woes in the 34th.

Santa Rosa booked a spot in the Under-14 final after a 5-4 penalty shootout result over Joe Public. Both teams were locked at 1-1 at the end of regulation time, with John-Paul Rochford (36th) putting Santa Rosa in front before Jesse Joseph equalised 10 minutes later.
