TRENDSETTER Hawks were crowned champs of the Chubby 10 and Under National Football Championship organised by All Sport Promotions on Saturday.

In a tough final featuring Trinidad vs Tobago, Trendsetter Hawks got past Tobago’s St Clair Coaching School 2-0 with goals coming from Josiah Wilson and Jahiem Marshall.

A total of 17 teams participated from all over Trinidad, with three teams journeying from the sister isle. In a keenly fought contest, San Fernando Sport Academy, St Clair Coaching School, Trendsetter Hawks and BLAST Semi Pro were the teams that made it to the semi-finals. Trendsetter Hawks are coached by youth football stalwart, Anthony ‘Dada’ Wickham.

The top scorers in the tournament were Aaron Alves of Cox Coaching School in Point Fortin and Real Gill of Trendsetter Hawks; who bagged seven goals each. All Sport promotions expressed gratitude to the sponsors including Chubby, RBC, KFC, Rentokil, Digicel and Hypertech Limited.
