San Juan Jabloteh resumed play in the Flow Youth Pro League 2017 with a 12-0 hammering of cellar-placed Morvant Caledonia United in the Under-13 division last Sunday.

Jabloteh, pushing for a “triple treble” this season having won all three divisions in the past two seasons, also defeated Morvant Caledonia 3-0 and 1-0 in the Under-15 and Under-17 divisions, respectively.

Nathaniel James led the visitors’ U13 scoring with five goals to his name, first converting a penalty in the third minute at the Maracas St. Joseph Recreation Ground. James, possibly recharged by the Easter break, also found the back of the net in the 9th, 22nd, 35th and 70th minutes, putting his tally at 11 goals this season to lead the U13 scorers’ list.

Teammates Israel Joseph (64th and 68th minutes) and Nkosi Ambrose (34th and 35th minutes) each grabbed a double while Lindell Sween (10th minute), Jaheim Faustin (17th minute) and Ezekiel Stapleton (63rd minute) also capitalised on the goal-feast as the hosts remain slumped at the bottom of the U13 standings without a point after seven games.

Jabloteh (16 points), though, remain second behind runaway leaders Police FC (21 points), who defeated Central FC 4-2 for a seventh straight win in as many matches.

Police, like Jabloteh, enjoyed a trifecta on the day, by also winning against Central 2-0 and 4-1 in the U15 and U17 divisions, respectively, at St. James Barracks outside field.

Club Sando (13 points) moved up a spot into third on the U13 standings with a 2-1 win over mid-table Defence Force, hurdling W Connection by goal-difference after the young “Savonetta Boys” were edged 3-2 by North East Stars.

In the U15 division, Sherwin Mulzac, Jael Mason, Terrell Wiley each had a goal in the first half to earn Jabloteh victory over Morvant Caledonia, to keep the San Juan side within striking distance of U15 leaders Defence Force, who defeated Club Sando by the same score-line.

Both teams are tied on 18 points with Defence Force only ahead of Jabloteh by goal-difference. Point Fortin Civic and Police follow in third and fourth place, respectively, tied on 15 points.

Jabloteh, however, are five points clear at the top of the U17 standings thanks to Rivaldo Coryat’s late strike against Morvant Caledonia.

Coryat, with his first goal of the season, snatched the winner with two minutes left as Jabloteh (19 points) extended their gap on rivals W Connection (14 points), who were held to a goalless draw by North East Stars.

It was another disappointing result for Connection, who surrendered a two-goal cushion, courtesy a Jaden Grant first-half double, to lose 3-2 in the U13 division against the hosts North East Stars at the Arima Velodrome.

However the visitors, Connection, were winners in the U15 division, rebounding from a deficit three minutes into the game to edge North East Stars 2-1 through second-half strikes from Nicholas Dyett and Jamal Lewis.
