He has always stepped in well when called upon. An outstanding and competitive goalkeeper, who is rated highly in this region. Clayton gave some solid performances during T&T's 2002 World Cup Qualifying campaign.

He has been tipped by Shaka Hislop to be the future number one 'keeper for the country.

A goalkeeper who was originally a defender, Clayton Ince was his country’s first-choice keeper before Kelvin Jack became Trinidad and Tobago’s number one.

Now with Coventry City after five years at Crewe Alexandra, where he was their 2002/3 player of the season. His country’s 1997 player of the year, he was also named best goalkeeper at the 2001 Copa Caribe.

He played three matches in the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ preliminaries and also featured in the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification matches. Earlier in his career, Ince played in the 1991 FIFA World Youth Championship.
