Forced to miss out on T&T’s last two World Cup qualifiers against Panama and Mexico because his club refused to release him for earlier preparations, midfielder Silvio Spann is now hoping to make an impression on coach Leo Beenhakker during the 2005 Concacaf Gold Cup.

Spann said on Monday that Yokohoma FC in the Japanese League should be on break in July which will allow him the chance to play for the “Warriors” once selected.

“I am really happy to hear the team has been doing well. It shows that with good guidance and hard work that we definitely can be successful. Hopefully I can get a chance to be part of that now with the Gold Cup coming up,” Spann said.
