“It is important that he accepts responsibility for his actions.”

That was part of the response of National Senior Men’s Team head coach Stephen Hart to a statement issued by Midfielder Kevin Molino via his Instagram account on Tuesday in light of an off the field matter which led to him being excluded from the National Senior Team for last Tuesday’s Scotiabank Caribbean Cup qualifier versus Martinique in Fort-de-France.

Hart, currently out of the country, stated that Molino’s commitment on the field of play was never in question.

“Kevin’s attitude towards training and playing was never in question. His work ethic in this respect is commendable. He made some poor decisions and it is important that he accepts responsibility for his actions,” Hart told TTFA Media.

“Wearing the national team shirt is an honour. Yes! More so it is a great responsibility.”

TTFA President David John-Williams also had a brief reaction to the player’s comments, saying “I spoke to Kevin this afternoon and commended him on his apology.”

The National Senior Team will re-assemble next month for the opening match of the CONCACAF Final Round against Costa Rica on November 11th. Hart is expected to announce his final squad for the encounter within the first week of November. T&T will then travel to face Honduras on November 15th.

There will be early bird tickets on sale from Monday until November 4th. Those tickets will cost $300 (covered section) and $160 (uncovered section). From November 5th until match-day, tickets will then cost $350 (covered) and $200 (uncovered).
