Zoran Vranes and Leston PaulThe National Under Twenty team swept the 2008 Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation and Bmobile National Super League Awards by taking a whopping seven titles last night at the Ballroom, Crowne Plaza. The coveted awards included: Bmobile Super League and Knock-Out Winners, one of the Super League MVP awards, Youth Male Player of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Coach of the Year and Team of the Year.

Their success has led them to qualify for the FIFA Under Twenty World Cup in Egypt that takes place in September of this year. Feature Speaker Mr. Jeremy Jones, Head Enterprise Operations at RBC/RBTT Bank gave a tremendous insight into the invaluable contribution of sport in the lives of youth, as he quoted “Through sport the gangster, instead of finding the block and the block finding him, will find a football field instead, it is through the expression of sport, resist the lure of gangster life”.

Other awardees for the night were Pro League team Caledonia AIA who won the FA Trophy and Fair Play for the season, whilst Female Player of the Year went to Ahkeela Mollon.
