The Coca-Cola Zonal InterCol competition continued yesterday with action in both the Girls and Boys divisions. The South and East finals have been finalised in the girls Zonal InterCol competition.

Fyzabad Secondary are on a quest to add more silverware to their cabinet as they booked their place in the South Zone final against Point Fortin East Secondary, when they beat Pleasantville Secondary 9-0 in the first semi-final at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium training field yesterday.

“Fyzo” have already won the girls Big Four competition after they won a penalty shoot-out 4-2 against St Augustine Secondary after drawing the match 1-1.

In the other South semi-final, St Joseph’s Convent San Fernando drew 1-1 with Point Fortin, and Point Fortin went on to win the shootout 4-1.

In the East Zone, Bishop’s Anstey East Secondary edged El Dorado West Secondary 1-0 to move on to the final, where they will face Toco Secondary, who sprang the day’s upset when they beat favourites St Augustine Secondary 2-1.
