WHAT A BLOCK!: Roxborough Secondary goalkeeper Shanice Sylvester, right, does well to keep out this shot from Debe Secondary midfielder Amanda Theodore in Monday's BG T&T/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League El Dorado East Secondary earned the right to meet Debe Secondary in tomorrow's BG T&T/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) girls' final with a narrow 2-1 win yesterday over St Francois Girls College.

At the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Patrice Campbell scored on either side of half-time and even though Dhaakira Solomon headed in for St Francois in the 79th, it was too little too late to pull things back.

But it was hardly a walkover for El Dorado, who met a stern St Francois test before Campbell got the insurance goal in the 74th minute.

Campbell opened the scoring in the fourth minute, capping off a nice solo run on the left with a deadly finish past Darya Rodriguez low into the far corner.

Campbell also hit the far upright from the same position in the same period, but St Francois had more of the raids without the required finishing.

They could have levelled it, but for a miss from point-blank range in the final minute of the first half of the 80-minute encounter.

The second half saw St Francois dominate the midfield, but they failed to find that final shot that would beat El Dorado goalkeeper Sherese Bishop.

Twice Campbell was thwarted by the St Francois defence in the second period, but she made sure another chance would not go a-begging late with a nice fast break and composed finish worthy of her joyful celebration which followed.

St Francois pulled one back with a pinpoint, close-range header by Solomon off the feed from right winger Astride Joseph, easily St Francois's best player in the game.

But it was too late by then for St Francois to pull back the match.
