Will Blue Thunder destroy all in their path in the East/Central Zone again this season? That is the question the El Dorado fans were asking on the weekend after their side found itself in the middle of the pack after the first round of action. El Do were three points off the pace of leaders Arima Secondary (17 pts) - who finished third last season - after last Saturday's final round of matches in the first round.

But the Blue Thunder's final performance of the first half would have brought smiles to their faces. They crushed St Augustine 5-1 on the strength of a double from Ochieng Abosi and strikes from Jabari Lumsee, Junior Pamponette - both members of last year's winning side - and Christopher Carrington. But even before they set their sights on Arima, El Do will have to overhaul second-placed San Juan (15 pts). So Abosi and his teammates' work has only just begun.
