Scarborough Secondary made sure League winners Signal Hill Secondary Comprehensive did not claim the zonal double when their stopped their major rivals 2-0 in the RBTT Intercol Tobago Zone final yesterday at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet.
Scarborough had goals from Correy Carrington and Kaylon Mc Kenna on either side of halftime to secure the victory and in so doing successfully defended their Tobago Zone Intercol title, while ending Signal Hill's season.
The Tobago champions now await the runners-up of the East Zone Intercol final.
Today, defending East Intercol champs, St Augustine Secondary Comprehensive, and newly-crowned East League winners San Juan Secondary Comprehensive face off in the Zonal Intercol final at Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar.
San Juan overcame spirited first-timers Malabar Composite 3-0 at the Malabar Stadium on Tuesday in the second half of a double-header.
And 'Gustine' got the better of El Dorado Secondary Comprehensive by a 3-2 scoreline in a thrilling encounter which preceded the San Juan match.
