San Juan North Secondary School, led by influential duo Lindell Sween and Nathan Quashie, will be hoping to maintain or even stretch their lead at the top of the 16-team Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Boys’ Premier Division when they travel to Speyside Secondary Wednesday for a 3.30 pm clash at Speyside Recreation ground in Tobago.

San Juan North, under the supervision of long-serving coach Jerry Moe, goes into the match with 21 points from eight matches, two more than national Inter-Col champion Fatima College while four-time former winners Naparima College sits third with 18 points, one ahead of another former champion Presentation College of San Fernando. St Anthony's College and Arima North Secondary are next with 15 points, one ahead of defending champion St Benedict's College with Speyside, a further point back in the eighth position.

So far this season, San Juan North has rattled off three wins from as many matches on the road, 2-0 over Presentation, 2-1 at Queen's Royal College and 1-0 over Arima North and buoyed by their 6-0 thrashing of Bishop's High School on Saturday at their San Juan home ground, will travel to the sister-isle brimming with confidence.

On the other hand, Speyside has proved to be tricky opposition at home, having secured victories against Bishop's High (3-1) and East Mucurapo Secondary (2-1) while holding Presentation to a 1-1 draw, with a 1-0 loss to Fatima their lone blemish, and will be eager to slow the title march of the visitors today.

In other key matches, Fatima makes the short journey to Maraval Road to face Queen's Royal College (QRC) while Naparima entertains Bishop's High at Lewis Street, San Fernando; St Benedict's hosts Presentation at Mahaica Oval, Point Fortin, and St Anthony's is at home to Malick Secondary in Westmoorings.

In the other matches, Arima North and East Mucurapo meet at the Arima Municipal Stadium, Trinity College East and St Mary's College square off at Trincity, and cellar-placed duo Pleasantville and Chaguanas North do battle at Yolande Pompey recreation ground in Princes Town.
