AKEEM MARSHALL netted a double to help Marabella Junior Secondary to a spot in the semifinal of the Central Zone of the RBTT Inter-Col, at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva yesterday.
Marshall, the topscorer in the British Gas SSFL with 21 goals, added two more to his tally this season, netting in the 36th and 53rd minutes, as Marabella defeated Union Claxton Bay Senior Comprehensive 5-0 in the second match of the Central Zone quarterfinal double-header.
Clint Cummings opened the attack for Marabella scoring in the 15th minute.
The other two goals were netted in the 79th and 86th minutes, by Keston Grant and Akil Zephyrine.
Marabella meets Carapichaima Senior Comprehensive on Tuesday at the same venue in the second semifinal from 5pm.
In the other quarterfinal match, two second half goals earned Tabaquite Composite a 2-0 victory over Chaguanas Senior Comprehensive.
Kervin Subero and Miguel Teemul were the scorers for Tabaquite who will now meet defending champion Presentation College, Chaguanas, in the first semifinal on Tuesday from 3pm.
