Memucan Stephen scored a handful as Presentation College hammered Preysal High School 11-1 in their Secondary Schools Football League Central Zone RBTT Inter-Col quarterfinal at Presentation College Ground, Chaguanas.

Stephen started the onslaught as early as the fifth minute but Preysal, who will campaign in the Championship Division next year after winning the Senior Division, drew level three minutes later through Akido Joseph.

It then took Presentation until the 28th minute to breach Preysal backline again via another Stephen goal which began the free-flow.

The efficient Stephen then added strikes in the 39th, 64th, and 77th minute while Derone Davis and Satyam Pollard each added two goals and Dwayne Nicome and Issiah Smith, the others.

With the win Presentation advances to Saturday’s semifinal where it faces the winner of the Chaguanas Senior Comprehensive/Tabaquite Composite match which was locked at 0-0 after 90 minutes, last night.

At the Ato Boldon Stadium, Waterloo High School got a goal on either side of the half from Wendell Archibald to hold off Marabella Junior Secondary 3-2 and now meets holders Carapichaima Senior Comprehensive in Saturday’s semis from 3 pm.

In the East Zone, reigning zonal Inter-Col holders, St Augustine Senior Comprehensive came from a goal down to beat Trinity College East, winners of the East Zone’s Senior Division, 3-1 at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar.

The “Green Machine” who rested a few of its first team regulars was surprisingly locked at 0-0 after 45 minutes with Trinity.

Seven minutes after the restart, Trinity silenced the St Augustine crowd when captain Marvin Springer converted penalty past goalkeeper Joel Johnson after the latter brought him down in the area.

The lead only lasted nine minutes as substitute Brandon Rupert got St Augustine levelled, off a Kareem Paul assist, and six minutes later Paul found the mark himself for a 2-1 advantage.

Two minutes from the end Theon Forde-Edwards completed the scoring for St Augustine to put an end to Trinity’s upset hopes.

In the second match at Malabar, second-half goals from Hayden De Verteuil, Nicholas Armstrong and Darius Rollins secured Arima Senior Comprehensive a 4-0 win over Hillview College and a semifinal date with St Augustine on Monday at the same venue from 3 pm.

National RBTT holders San Juan Senior Comprehensive meets Sangre Grande Senior Secondary and Toco plays El Dorado Senior Comprehensive in the zone’s two other quarterfinals at Malabar tomorrow from 3 pm.
