Addae played for Missouri Baptist and SIU-Edwardsville during his college career. He has also represented the Trinidad and Tobago National U17, U20 and U23 teams, as well as having participated in four full Senior International Caps. As a player, Coach Rique has had many outstanding achievements, some of which include being the 2003 SIU-Edwardsville Player of the Year, All Conference 1st team in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, All Region 1st team and All American 1st team. While at Missouri Baptist he was voted Freshman of the Year, All Conference 1st team in the American Midwest Conference, All Region 1st team and All American Honorable Mention in 2002. He also was the captain of the Trinidad and Tobago U20 team in 1998 and the vice captain of the U17 team in 1994. Professionally Addae has played for the St Louis Steamers, Joe Public F.C. and W. Connection F.C. (Trinidad and Tobago Pro League).
